RECUWASTE is the reference conference on resource and waste management, organised by Maresme Circular, the brand of the Maresme Waste Consortium, with the collaboration of other entities, including the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Diputació de Barcelona.

In this eighth edition 2025 under the motto “Waste, the circular economy and the energy transition: trilemma or virtuous circle“, we propose to reflect and seek answers to several of the major debates that geopolitics, the energy transition, reindustrialisation and the competitiveness of the economy are putting on the political agenda and legislative development, to measure climate ambition and achieve the objectives of a decarbonised economy.

With the help of international and local speakers, we provide a set of spaces for debate, demonstration, reflection and solutions that will inspire us to help us think about and identify changes and opportunities, and also to understand how sustainability and smart resource management can be levers that help us in the global objectives towards climate neutrality, the circularity of the economy, smart resource management or the reindustrialisation and digitalisation of our economy.

In addition, throughout the congress there will be a poster exhibition on Circular Economy Solutions in Municipal Waste Management that will compete for the Alfonso Maíllo Award, as well as an exhibition of innovative machinery for municipal cleaning and waste collection services.
